Mizuno 16km Run Event Today

Mizuno 10 miles (16km) run event today started and ended at Nanyang Polytechnic sports complex. All categories started at the same time at 7:30am.

The movement from the starting line was very slow close to a walking pace from the stadium until the crowd hits the road. Overall not a very smooth running event as there were several stoppages at traffic light junctions. At certain area, only allowed to run on the pavement and not on the road.

Tim Teo, HC Gan, ZiJing and YS Tun turned up for the run today. After the race, meet another hot-runner (forgot his name).

HC before the run.

ZiJing and HC before the run.

Tim queued right in the first row at the Starting Line before the race started. Zijing and HC has to join the queue at the back and inched themselves forward until about 50m from the starting line and cannot move forward anymore due to the large crowd ahead.

The weather was quite warm but overall, all of them enjoyed the run today.

YS, Tim, HC and ZiJing after the race.

All the pictures full of smiley faces. Will be gunning for Standchart 10km and hope to break the 1 hour barrier.

Gan, congrats to keeping a good running calendar towards a Full Marathon for this year. Maybe you want to file down the hardened part of yuor feet with very thick skin. I think it may be causing my foot to ache on longer distacne >18km. There is a lump in the mid section of the mid foot in both feet. Seems better now that I have clip it away.
