It was Tuesday again in Upper Pierce Reserviour. I planned to run 10km on that day as a last warm up to my Biathlon event on 3 Mar. Earlier, Lawrence greed to do same distance and we would start together. It was a pleasent surprise to find Gan geared and ready to go when we reached the carpark. I am always tentative trying to clear UPR 10km in one go. This is my 3rd time running the 10km route there. The hilly terrain always threatened to break up my final few km into walk-run.
As it turned out, I was able to complete 10km in my personal best time. The run felt right from the beginning. Gan set a strong pace for the first 1.5km especially with his downhill speciality. He slingshot me into a steady firm pace. Lawrence kept up falling behind a bit. His invisible presence was always there to keep me going at a strong pace. Despite the heavy rain, it was a sure thing that he would keep up and undaunted. After the last descend, I was met by Mel and paced the rest of the distance at a breakneck pace. With such good company of hotrunners, I achieved PB. I was also happy to have taken advise from my son to do some tempo run before the 10km practice.
Running felt extremely good that day. Thank you hotrunners.

More than 15 people actually turned up. HT, HC and Lawrence started running first. But within less than 5 minutes the rain poured quite heavily. 3 of them decided to continue to run per their planned distance.
The others decided who have not started running decided to stay dry and were all standing outside the toilets chit-chatting away.
When the rain finally stopped and HC, HT and Lawrence were backed to starting point, some of them decided to start running and do several laps back-and-forth the 300m walkway by the water along UPR reservoir. HC contributed a 100-Plus.
Overall most have us have a great time. Unfortunately some were disappointed by the heavy run and have went home without having a good run. Well.... there is always another group run again Next Week and every week! Did notice from FB that some went to run next day early morning and evening. Cheers....
