Sundown 42km Full Marathon 28-May-2011

Run for Health, Run for Fun, Run for Life.

Quite a number of our Hot-Runners went for this 42km Sundown 42km full marathon event. The newspaper estimated that there are about 10,000 full marathon participants this year! The 42km race started at 10:00pm. Due to the massive traffic jam, a lot of people started the run late. E.g. HC started his run at 10:30pm and Lid Jlen started his run almost almost an hour late. The net time will be the actual time taken for the 42km.

It was really nice to meet up with some of the folk together after the run. Some came into the small gathering after the free massage. Bok brought along hot coffee in thermos and MJ brought along some nachos. We waited for our fellow Hot-runners to complete the 42km run while having a nice chat and catch-up. Most of us felt that night marathon is more difficult than day marathon. Overall ALL of us enjoyed ourselves. Some commented "this will likely be my last marathon" but as most of us know it..... very soon we will see them in marathon event AGAIN !
