HT took a lot of self initiatives trying to setup an informal group of runners among the office colleagues and maybe gradually include friends and relatives. He is also thinking of creative ideas of trying to get some funding support from the company. Another idea is to company paid a small token amount of money for every kilometer ran by this informal groups of runners and later donate the collected funds to a charitable organization of our own free choice.
Today HT and myself met up with two new strangers (YS Yip and Bech A. Kim) from our office colleagues who are running enthusiasts. HT map out a 1.2km running route around the green field beside our office so that we can start to meet up with some of the runners and get to know each other before we find other more appealing running routes.
YS, HT and HC did 3.6km run today together.

Bech A. Kim told us yesterday that he ran 60km per week !!
He normally runs in the early morning. That sounds like running one hour per day and six days per week. Wow...
He uses a Polar heart rate monitoring device.
I have just ordered a Garmin heart rate cum distant/speed monitoring device from US and gettting someone to help me hand-carry back and will be arriving next Sat 25-Oct.

Yow Seng
P.S. I know we already have Yew Seng in the group so hopefully we won't b mixed up. ;)
Added one recent event and some products that will be useful for serious runners.
It is so much cheaper in US as compare to in Singapore. Typically I will get friends or colleagues in US to help order for my by clicking on the links to the website. Since there are so many colleagues and friends travelling to-and-fro from US regularly, they can help hand-carry this to Singapore quite.
So far I have ordered a Casio 41-lap counter SOLAR powered watch and a Garmin heart rate, distance and speed monitoring device. Both cost less than 50% as compared to Singapore prices.

HC
